01Menu visitors (your guests)

When someone opens a menu, we record an anonymous page view: the date and time, the menu, the language, whether the visit came from a QR code, the referring website’s domain, the device type (phone, tablet, desktop) and the country.

We do not use cookies or similar storage for this. To count unique visitors per day we create a one-way hash of the IP address and browser user agent combined with a salt that changes every day; the IP address itself is not stored and the hash cannot be linked across days.

Menu pages don’t load third-party trackers or advertising scripts.

02Restaurant owners

For your account we store your email address, an optional name, a securely hashed password (if you use one) and the content you publish.

If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name and Google account ID from Google to create and link your account. We don’t get access to your Gmail, contacts or other Google data.

03Cookies

The dashboard uses a single essential, httpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in. Public menus set no cookies.

On our own marketing pages (never on restaurant menus) we may use Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to understand which pages are useful. You can block it with any common browser setting or extension.

04Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers needed to run PlatterTap (hosting, image storage, email delivery, Google sign-in), under data-processing agreements. We never sell personal data.

05Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Deleting your account removes your restaurant, menu and analytics. For any request, contact [email protected].
