For cafés, coffee shops & bakeries
Café menusthat keep up with the counter.
PlatterTap gives cafés, coffee shops and bakeries a free digital menu they can update from behind the counter: coffee in several sizes, milk options, today’s cakes and breakfast. Guests scan a QR code or tap your Instagram link, and the menu opens straight away on their phone.
How do I keep daily cakes and specials up to date?
Make a “Today” section at the top of your menu and update it each morning from your phone: add today’s cakes, hide yesterday’s. Changes are live as soon as you save, so the menu behind the QR code always matches what’s on the counter.
How do I list coffee sizes and milk options?
Use variants for sizes — small / regular / large, or 0.2 l / 0.3 l — so each coffee is one line with several prices. Mention plant-based milks in the section description, or add them as a separate item with the surcharge, so nobody has to ask at the till.
Can I mark vegan and gluten-free options?
Yes. Every item can carry labels for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and spicy, plus new, popular and chef’s pick. They appear as small badges next to the dish and are also written into the page’s structured data for search engines.
Can I show the Wi-Fi password on the menu?
Yes. Add your network name and password to your contact details and they appear in the “Visit us” block of your menu, together with your opening hours and address — one less question at the counter.
Which menu template suits a café?
Classic, with its paper-like feel and elegant type, suits most cafés and bakeries. If your cakes and breakfasts photograph well, Gallery puts a large cover photo and a picture of each item front and centre. You can switch between them at any time.
How do I link my café menu from Instagram?
Put plattertap.com/your-name in your Instagram bio. Anyone who sees today’s cake in your stories can open the full menu, prices and opening hours in one tap — no PDF download, no zooming.
